Got a few more things!
covid

Oof. That’s.. entirely too relatable.
This is, I believe, at the heart of pandemic memory: it is a way we have rewritten the past so that we may continue rewriting the present.
I had surgery near the start of all of this. It meant that I needed to be extra cautious at the start, and then several people I know were some of the first wave of Long COVID cases, and… well, I’ve not stopped. Maybe if I could go a week or two without hearing someone I know is “unable to get out of bed” sick with it. Until then, well, I’m wearing a mask when I go out in public. It’s not like it’s particularly difficult for my life.

Yeah! Honestly I’m pretty happy with where this is at, currently. I have some stuff I want to move around, I have some things I want to work on, but as far as the layout for this and the css and (basically no) Javascript on it? I’m pretty happy. It’s snappy, the colors make me smile, etc.

I swear I was trying to not have a section about this this time, but alas. Turns out that document summarization doesn’t work. Neat!
magic the gathering
Woof. This is… a lot. I don’t disagree with a single word said, in fact, I’ve absolutely written similar in the past but… Damn. Bruno Dias is right on the mark here.
I enjoyed Commander. I really did. I liked doing drafts, prereleases, etc. I liked walking away from those with weird cards that weren’t competitive but made for fun limited environments and then trying to make them actually do something in a constructed game.
